Description

Conflict is a natural part of any workplace, but when managed effectively, it can lead to growth, stronger relationships, and better outcomes. For career development professionals, navigating workplace conflicts—whether between colleagues, clients, or leadership—is essential to fostering a positive and productive environment.


CPC’s Conflict Resolution for Career Professionals course equips participants with a structured, seven-step conflict resolution process that can be adapted to disputes of any size. Participants will develop essential skills in communication, solution-building, and finding common ground. They will also learn strategies for managing anger, reducing tension, and fostering collaboration to create a more harmonious workplace.


Workshop Objectives:
• Define conflict and understand the principles of conflict resolution
• Explore the six phases of the conflict resolution process
• Learn the five main styles of conflict resolution and when to apply them
• Adapt resolution strategies to different workplace conflicts
• Identify proactive techniques to prevent conflict before it escalates
• Develop effective communication strategies, including the agreement frame and open-ended questions
• Apply anger and stress management techniques to diffuse tense situations



By mastering conflict resolution skills, career professionals can help individuals and organizations navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and foster a culture of respect and collaboration. This course is eligible for 10 hrs of continuing education training.
